WhatsApp number cannot be used on our platform?

There are serval reasons that you may not be able to use a WhatsApp number on our platform.

  1. The number is in-use on a standard WhatsApp App.
  2. The number is in-use on a Business WhatsApp App.
  3. You have not completed the SMS verification on your WhatsApp Manager.
  4. The number has been connected to another platform.
  5. A PIN has been set on your WhatsApp number.
  6. Officially unsupported numbers (cannot be fixed).

Here is how you will fix the above problems.

The number is in-use on a standard WhatsApp App.

There are tow ways to fix this issue.

1. Log into a Business WhatsApp app.

Use the number you are currently using on a standard WhatsApp app to Log into a Business WhatsApp app (WA Business), then you will be able to follow this instruction to connect the WhatsApp Business app to our platform.

2. Or delete the WhatsApp account. 

You must completely delete the existing account from the standard WhatsApp mobile app. Simply uninstalling the app from your phone will not release the number. Here is how you will be going to do it (DO NOT forget to backup your chat history first).

  • Open the WhatsApp app or WhatsApp Business app on your phone.
  • Navigate to Settings > Account.
  • Select Delete my account (or "Delete account").
  • Enter your phone number in full international format (including country code).
  • Tap the red Delete My Account button to confirm

After having the existing WhatsApp account deleted, the number will be treated as a completely new number. The you will be able to follow this instruction connect it to our platform.

The number is in-use on a Business WhatsApp App.

A number is in-use on a Business WhatsApp app can be connected to our app directly. To do so, follow this follow this instruction.

You have not completed the SMS verification on your WhatsApp Manager.

You may simply go to your WhatsApp Manager and complete the SMS verification. Then go back to the page where you left from our app and reload the page.

A PIN has been set on your WhatsApp number.

For some reasons, the PIN exists even though you have not set one. The PIN can be created automatically when you connect the number to a third-party platform, or when you add the number to your WhatsApp manager. In order to use the number on our platform, you must remove the PIN. Here is how you can do it.

  • Go to your WhatsApp Manager and locate the number you have connected to our app.
  • Click Two-step verification on the menu.
  • Click Turn off two-step verification button.
  • An email will be sent to you. Follow the instruction on your email to turn off the two-step verification.
  • Go back to the page where you left from our app and reload the page.

Officially unsupported numbers (cannot be fixed).

VoIP, virtual numbers, toll-free, shared-cost, and standard landlines cannot be registered on the any of API platforms like us.
